Designer Background:

Anne Pryor was born in Redwood Fall, Minnesota, where she grew up with her four brothers. “Redwood Fall is a quilting community, we have a beautiful quilt shop and many friends that are quilters” stated
Pryor. She attended Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota where she got her Master’s DegreLovitude Symbol Logo Anne Pryore in Holistic Health and Wellbeing. During this time, Anne created a symbol that would later be made into a jewelry piece as a present for her professors. The symbol that she created is now commonly known as the original “Mother and Child necklace”. This jewelry piece was the beginning of her brand, Lovitude. Anne decided to name her brand Lovitude based off of the combination between the two words, love and gratitude. However, she decided to stop making Lovitude jewelry a few years ago because gold and silver became too expensive. Pryor lives a “portfolio career life”. She is a LinkedIn expert, a career coach that focuses on helping people find great jobs and be found online. If Anne could give one piece of advice, it would be, “love yourself first so you can lift yourself up and then lift up others”.

Pryor has only been an artist for two years and has never taken an art class in her life. She believes that she experienced after death communications with her friend that had recently passed away. Pryor believes that through this, she needed to share her brand with the world again. Now, the brand is continuously growing, and Pryor’s artwork can be found on many different products like pillows, coffee mugs, and scarves.

Anne’s Style:

Anne does not paint like your typical designer, she doesn’t use paint brushes or ordinary paints. Instead, she uses a metal straw and alcohol ink to create her beautiful paintings. Pryor has only ever used alcohol ink because it increases the intensity of the coloration, making her art more vivid and colorful. When the alcohol evaporates, the intensity of the colors gets deeper. Pryor explained that she enjoys the intense look that is created when combining alcohol ink and her metal straw method. Anne also uses essential oils in her paintings, which she believes blesses her work. Every painting that Pryor has completed has a unique background to go along with it.

Home and Family Appearance:

On April 1, 2019, Anne appeared on the Hallmark show, Home and Family. During this segment, she demonstrated how she creates her unique paintings with a metal straw.
