Each of the big 6 1/2″ triangles show off those beautiful prints and colors. The bonus is that they sew up quickly, too. Just 11 in each row. Two bundles will give you all the triangles you need for the
36″ x 42 1/2″ quilt top.
Here’s a closer look at the ten fabrics:
Aren’t they just darling? Every one of these prints would be awesome on its own, but I think they’re better together. Just the right scale for mixing. The 5″ squares have 20 pieces, 2 each of 10 designs. Same for the 2 1/2″ x 42″ strips. There are two bundles with five different prints in each. Here’s what to look for at Hobby Lobby:
So is it really that easy? Yes, thanks to the bundles giving you 10 fun, coordinated prints to work with. Use an acrylic template set like Marti Michell’s Wonder Triangles or EZ Tri-Recs and cutting will go quickly, too. Layout the prints as I did in the instructions, or in more orderly rows if you like. Here’s another design tip – because I’m loving Symone’s little triangle print, I put two triangles together in a few places so it would have a bigger visual impact. If you have a favorite print, put your favorite prints together, too. Make the quilt your own style!
