Kickoff to Fall!

This Fall has been a great one so far! Blue skies and warm weather has been spoiling football fans, and the games have been fantastic!  Here’s a quick tutorial for our DIY burlap football door decoration.  Fabric Palette pre-cut burlap is at AC Moore and Meijer’s stores in 18″ x 22″ fat quarter cuts. Pick up a couple of pieces soon!

You’ll need two fat quarters to make a 20″  football. To make a football shape, start with a 12″ x 20″ piece of newsprint and draw curves at both ends. I traced it onto cardboard and cut out the burlap 1″ larger.  Use acrylic craft paint to decorate and hot glue to put it all together. Leaving the cardboard inside helps keep it in shape longer.  The blank space under the lacing is perfect for your team’s initials or logo. Stencil on the team initial, glue on a razorback patch, or paint a paw print.  Just in time for the Thanksgiving games!  Happy Fall!
