St. Patrick’s Day – Go Green!
One of the happiest days of the year is March 17, the day the Irish celebrate their heritage and culture around the world. Everyone can be Irish for a day! Enjoy a parade, sing along with folk music of Ireland, eat special food, or wear a little green. It’s a fun day to spend with family and friends – or with your green fabrics!
Inspired to use green? If you can set aside a few hours this weekend, here are our picks: an Irish Chain quilt, a raggy wreath, a lucky table runner, and an embellished baby tee shirt. From no-sew to quick sew, these look like fun projects. Take a look!
For your table, start with the Fort Worth Fabric Studio’s Lucky runner and your stash o’green:
A classic green and white Irish Chain quilt is something every quilter needs to make! Here Aby Quilts shows you how to make this little table topper in a photo tutorial:
Here’s a tiny tee from Nancy at Crafts Unleashed: A little fusible web and you’re ready for the party!
From The Magic of Ordinary Things to your home – a welcoming wreath:
We are showing our green here. The fresh color of Springtime. You’ll find our pre-cuts everywhere fat quarters are sold. We do contemporary chevrons and quatrefoils, tone on tones and batiks, small prints, dots and solids, too. In every shade of green – emerald, lime, pine, mint – we do it all!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Thanks for sharing our Lucky Table Runner! 🙂 What a fun round-up of St. Patty’s projects! –Jodie at Fort Worth Fabric Studio
